KBO slugger Jamie Romak wins Canadian Baseball Hall of Fame's 'Tip O'Neill Award'

The 35-year old veteran represented his country at the WBSC (IBAF) World Cups in 2007 and 2011, and the 2017 World Baseball Classic.

Jamie ROMAK was awarded the 2020 Tip O'Neill Award by the Canadian Baseball Hall of Fame and Museum.

The 35-year-old veteran helped Canada win a bronze medal at the 2011 WBSC Baseball World Cup. He also represented Canada at the 2007 WBSC Baseball World Cup and the 2017 World Baseball Classic.

Romak was born in London, Ontario, and was drafted out of high school in 2003 by the Atlanta Braves. He made his Major League Baseball (MLB) debut for the Los Angeles Dodgers in 2014.

Romak also played at the MLB level for the Arizona Diamondbacks (2015) before heading east. He played for the Nippon Professional Baseball (NPB) Yokohama DeNA Baystars in 2016 and then joined the SK Wyverns of the Korea Baseball Organization (KBO) in 2017.

Romak hit 32 home runs for the Wyverns during 139 games of the 2020 KBO season.
