LNM becomes affiliate of Liga Mexicana de Beisbol

The Liga Norte de Mexico is a 6 team professional league that operates in the States of Sonora and Baja California. It is now the AA affiliate of the top tier baseball championship in the Country

The Mexican Baseball League (LMB, Liga Mexicana de Beisbol) and the Liga Norte de Mexico (LNM) announced they signed an agreement that officially makes LNM an affiliate (AA level) of LMB.

Javier Salinas, LMB CEO, and Francisco Ochoa, President of LNM, signed the agreement at the presence of Nereida Fuentes Gonzalez, Presidente Municipal (Governor) of Tecate, Baja California.

The first step into the agreement will see LNM unify unify its anti doping system with that of LMB.

“Baseball is being transformed at the global level” said Javier Salinas, who recently met WBSC President Riccardo Fraccari in Rome “It is very important for us to work in a coordinated manner with our associates in order to develop baseball further”.

Liga Norte de Mexico is a 6 team league played April through July in the Mexican States of Sonora and Baja California.

Liga Mexicana de Beisbol is the top professional baseball league in Mexico. It is played March through August and has a AAA rating by Minor League Baseball in the USA.
