Media accreditation now open for WBSC Premier12 flagship Olympic baseball qualifier

The accreditation system for the 2019 WBSC Premier12® major international baseball event is now open. Applications must be received by Wednesday, 16 October, at 23:59 Japan Standard Time.

The accreditation system for the 2019 WBSC Premier12® major international baseball event is now open.

The 2019 WBSC Premier12 is the top national team baseball competition of the year and an Olympic qualifier, featuring the Top 12 National Teams in the WBSC World Rankings and reserving two places in the Tokyo 2020 Games.

Applications must be received by Wednesday, 16 October, at 23:59 Japan Standard Time.

All members of the media, both local/national and international, who wish to cover the Opening Round, Super Round and/or Finals of the WBSC Premier12, must apply through the official WBSC Media Accreditation online platform.

GENERAL MEDIA GUIDELINES

Coverage by NRH TV/Radio and Crew

  • Coverage of the 2019 WBSC Premier12 is intended strictly for news and sports event coverage
  • Credentials will be granted by specific category (i.e., Press, Photographer, Radio, and TV), and access will be granted accordingly.
  • Only rights holders of applicable games may transmit game footage (audio and/or video) of the 2019 WBSC Premier12. During games, NRHs are not permitted to record either audio or video in the stadium. Failure to respect these guidelines will result in an immediate withdrawal of said media accreditation, blacklisting and potential legal action, in order to protect WBSC’s partners and rights-holder agreements.
  • Due to limited space at the venues, there may be a restriction on the number of media credentials issued to each news outlet.
  • Photographers and NRH TV crews will be required to wear bibs.
