Men’s Softball Intercontinental Cup set to begin in Prague

Six of the top 12 nations in the world will kick off tomorrow the first edition of the Men’s Softball Intercontinental Cup, to be held at the newly reconstructed Svoboda Ballpark in Prague, Czech Republic, host of the WBSC Men’s Softball World Championship 2019.


Six of the top 12 nations in the world will kick off tomorrow the first edition of the Men’s Softball Intercontinental Cup, to be held at the newly reconstructed Svoboda Ballpark in Prague, Czech Republic, host of the WBSC Men’s Softball World Championship 2019.

World No. 1 New Zealand, No. 3 Japan, No. 4 Argentina, No. 6 United States, No. 7 Czech Republic and No. 11 Denmark will play a single round robin, with the top four teams advancing to the semifinals, to be played on 1st September.

All games of this event will be available for the worldwide audience for free at baseballsoftball.tv. In addition, all games of the Czech team will be also live on the Czech National Sports TV.

On 2 September, after the Intercontinental Cup, New Zealand will take on the newly established Team Europe on an exhibition game. This one-time event will be hosted in Havlíčkův Brod, Czech Republic. You can see the roster of Team Europe here.
