Italian National Team ace Greta Cecchetti was the winning pitcher in all three of Bollate’s wins and received series MVP honours.

Bollate defeated Saronno, 4-2, in Game 4 of the best-of-five 2020 FIBS Italian Softball Series, marking Bollate's 13th national softball championship in the team’s history. Greta Cecchetti was named MVP of the finals. It’s Bollate's first title in 15 years, after been runners-up in 7 of the last 12 years, including the last three years.

After splitting the first two games of the series, Bollate won Game 3, 8-0, to set the table for the title-clinching victory in Game 4.

The final game went into extra innings. Bolatte scored three times in the top of the eighth, with an RBI by Marta Gasparotto and two RBI from Jamee Juarez to put the score 4-1. Saronno scored once in the bottom of the eighth, but Cecchetti closed the door to finish the series.

Cecchetti said winning the Italian softball title "was a goal we had been chasing for 15 years, it seems not true to me that it arrived in 2020...I don't think there is only one MVP, everyone deserve this recognition: everyone played defense, everyone hit and everyone pulled together..."
