National softball champions crowned across Europe

National softball champions were recently crowned in Belgium, Italy, Germany, Poland and Spain.

October has seen Europe crown national softball champions in Belgium, Italy, Germany, Poland and Spain

In Belgium, the Stabroek Chicaboo’s grabbed both the men and women’s national softball titles. In the Men’s Belgian Series, the Chicaboo's topped the Brasschaat Braves, 4-1, to clinch the league championship; while in the female competition, the Chicaboo’s swept the Hoboken Pioneers in the best-of-five final series.

CBS Rivas clinched their third consecutive Spanish “División de Honor” title, winning the final series against Viladecans, 3-1. 

In Italy, Forlì swept Bollate in the Italian Softball Series to win its fifth Italian National Softball Title. Miriana Cerioni (Forlì) earned MVP honors. With the national title under their belt, Forlì currently holds the European and Italian crowns. 

The Panthers Wrocław were crowned Polish National Softball Champions. The Warsaw Diamonds took the silver medal, the Gepardy Żory took the bronze medal, and the Stal Kutno finished fourth.

In Germany, the Wesseling Vermins topped the Bonn Capitals in four games to win the German Softball Series. Milena Böttger was named MVP (Wesseling Vermins), while Hannah Held (Wesseling Vermins) claimed honors for best pitcher and Meredith Kay Ramsay (Bonn Capitals) for best hitter.
