Both countries, which played the first international women’s softball games of the year on 12 July, will complete their series with four games in Enschede, Netherlands.

Germany and the Netherlands played a pair of friendly games on 12 July and became the first two women’s national softball teams to take the field following the onset of COVID-19. Now they have announced four more contests sanctioned by the WBSC, to be played in Enschede, the Netherlands, to complete a six-game friendly series.

Germany and the Netherlands will participate in next year's European Women's Softball Championship, which is set for 4-10 July in Friuli Venezia Giulia, Italy. The champion from this continental competition will qualify for The World Games 2022 Birmingham.

The neighbour nations will play again on 30 August in Enschede, home of the 2007 WBSC Junior Women’s Softball World Championship, the first-ever softball global event played in European soil.

The third meeting for the last two games will occur in September, also in Enschede, with the exact date to be confirmed.

The Netherlands (ninth place in the WBSC Women’s Softball World Rankings) swept the first two games played in Cologne, with 9-1 and 12-2 victories.
