Netherlands unveils roster for WBSC U-18 Women’s Softball World Cup

The orange squad will open the tournament on 6 December against host Peru.

World No. 10 Netherlands on Tuesday revealed their roster for the WBSC U-18 Women’s Softball World Cup, which will be held in Lima, Peru, from 6-12 December. The orange squad will open the tournament on 6 December against host Peru, following the Opening Ceremony at Villa Maria del Triunfo Complex.

Head coach Saskia Kosterink included on the roster three veterans from the WBSC U-19 Women’s Softball World Cup 2019, that finished 13th in Irvine, California: Outfielders Michelle Schuur and Amy Felix, and infielder Reganied Franka.

The Netherlands have participated in 11 editions of the youth World Championship, missing only the 2011 and 2015 editions. They have finished in sixth place three times, their best position ever in the competition. The last time was in 2007, when the European nation hosted the event in Enschede.
