The Netherlands vs. Netherlands game got rained out with the softball squad leading the baseball squad 14-5.
The Netherlands Women's National Baseball and National Softball Teams collided on Wednesday afternoon at HCAW field in Bussum. The domestic affair, which ended prematurely due to rain, was dominated by the Dutch National Team softball players.
The Dutch softball squad took a big lead in the top of the first inning, as Maxime van Dalen, Laura Wissink, Suka van Gurp, Shakeena Croes and Wies Ligtvoet all singled in a 12-run first inning.
Van Dalen and Tess Remmers took the mound for the softball team, pitching overhand.
