The German Baseball and Softball Federation (DBV, Deutschen Baseball und Softball Verbandes) announced that Georg BULL will lead the Germany U-18 National Baseball Team, which features the best young talent in the country.
BULL has run the U-12 and U-15 programmes for DBV since 2018. Germany has grown to become the U-15 age category leader in Europe, having won three consecutive European Championships (2015, 2017, 2019).
"The achievement encouraged us to extend the plan to the whole youth programme," commented Juergen ELSISHANS, DBV President. "We put the task in very good hands. We are convinced that the experience that Georg Bull has will boost players development in Germany."
BULL, 56 years old, has run a U-12 and U-15 Baseball Academy since 2002. He replaces Christopher HOWARD.
"I'm looking forward to this chance," said BULL. "It's an exciting task. I am really thankful to DBV for their trust."
U-18 Germany will compete in the next European Championship, a qualifier to the WBSC U-18 Baseball World Cup.
