New president elected for Georgian Baseball Softball Federation: Goga Datunashivili

Elections were held on 14 February. The new leader served as the federation's previous Secretary-General and Vice President.

The Georgian Baseball and Softball Federation has elected former Secretary-General and Vice President Goga Datunashivili as its new president for the next four-year term.

Businessman Ben Graubard is the new first Vice President, while former baseball players Levan Charelishvili and Otar Tavkehsvili have been elected Vice Presidents.

Former softball player Sophie Khidasheli has taken over as the new Secretary-General.

The Board of Directors includes businessman Andrew Thornhill, journalist Nugzar Rukhadze, Mery Blitzadze, Levan Gobejishvili, Gela Chikhradze, Revaz Shavladze and Davit Khrikadze.

Baseball and softball were introduced to Georgia in 1987. Georgia is No. 66 in the WBSC Baseball World Rankings.
