The Olympic Virtual Series Finals take place on Olympic Day, Wednesday 23 June with the Olympic Virtual Series Baseball Event taking place at 11:00 Central European Time.

After thousands of entries in the Preliminary Round, the finalists are now set to compete in the Home Run Derby and the Baseball Tournament Finals, which will be broadcast in English and Japanese. Live commentary will include Japanese professional baseball alumni and announcers who are active in baseball broadcasts, including G.G. Sato, who competed for the Japanese Olympic Baseball Team at the 2008 Beijing Games.

The Olympic Virtual Series aims to mobilise virtual sports, eSports and gaming enthusiasts worldwide to reach new Olympic audiences, while also encouraging the development of both physical and digital forms of sports.

The World Baseball Softball Confederation (WBSC) - with partner KONAMI - is amongst five sports/international federations to have been appointed by the International Olympic Committee (IOC) to be part of the inaugural Olympic Virtual Series, which also features cycling, rowing, sailing and motorsport.
