The Pakistan Federation Baseball (PFB) is realising an ambitious plan to sustain youth development with the launch of a number of academies across the nation. The first one is set to open on Sunday, 9 August, in Okara (357,000 inhabitants), the capital city of the Okara district in the Punjab Province.
PFB President Fakhar Ali Shah announced the governing body's plan to the media. The new academy will open under the supervision of Muhammad Hamood Lakhivi, the PBF Vice President.
Punjab will host academies also in Faisalabad, Jhang, Gujranwala and Bahawalpur.
PFB intends to open two more youth academies in the provinces of Sindh (Hyderabad) and Balochistan (Quetta).
The whole project is expected to be completed within three months.
