PFB Secretary-General Syed Fakhar Ali Shah met with Hussain Ali, the Director-General Sports of Gilgit-Baltistan to highlight the recent efforts and announced the intention to involve both Pakistan's Men's and Women's National Teams for next year's events.

Mr Hussain Ali guaranteed full cooperation and welcomed the idea to invite delegations from the World Baseball Softball Confederation (WBSC) and the Baseball Federation of Asia (BFA).

The Shandur Festival takes place from 7 to 9 July each year at the Shandur Pass, located in between Pakistan's Chitral District and the Ghizer District of Gilgit-Baltistan. It is a flat plateau at an elevation of 3,700 metres (or 12,139 feet) that can be crossed between late April and early November.
