The Pan American Baseball Confederation (COPABE) has announced that Americas qualifier for the WBSC U-12 Baseball World Cup will open on Sunday, 29 August, in Aguascalientes, Mexico.
The six-team tournament will qualify four National Teams to the VI WBSC U-12 Baseball World Cup.
The list of participants includes host country Mexico, Colombia, Dominican Republic, Panama, Puerto Rico and Venezuela.
Round-robin play will run through Thursday, 2 September, and will consist of three games per day. The top four finishers will advance to the semifinals, scheduled on Friday, 3 September, together with the fifth-place game.
The bronze medal game and the final are scheduled for Saturday, 4 September.
Chinese Taipei is the reigning world champion in the category, winning the 2019 WBSC U-12 Baseball World Cup. Bronze medalist Cuba was the highest finisher from the Americas territory.
