Poland names U-18 Women’s National Team Softball head coach

Przemysław Kubicki will continue to serve as the skipper of Poland's top youth squad for the 2020-2021 term.

The Polish Baseball and Softball Federation extended the term of Przemysław Kubicki to coach the country's U-18 Women’s National Team Softball for the 2020-2021 season. The county aims to compete in next year’s U-18 Women's European Championship in Prague, Czech Republic, a WBSC World Cup qualifier.

Last month, Softball Europe released the 2021 new calendar. The U-18 European Championship was moved to 19-24 July 2021, and will be a qualifier for the 2022 edition of the age-category’s World Cup.

Poland finished in 14th place in the last edition of the youth European Championship, in 2018. The event held in Staranzano, Italy, was a qualifier for the WBSC U-19 Women’s Softball World Cup 2019.

The WBSC U-18 Women’s Softball World Cup 2020 was postponed last month to 2021 due to the coronavirus. The event will be held in Lima, Peru.

Currently is Poland the 36th-ranked nation in the WBSC Women’s Softball World Rankings.
