The four WBSC Premier12 managers announced the starting pitchers for the games of Day 2.
Joshua Guyer will start for Australia against Cuba. Born in 1994, the righthander has three years of experience at the Minor League level and is now a top starter in the Australian Baseball League.
Cuba will give the ball to Bladimir Banos, a 36-year old righthander who began his career in the Cuba Serie Nacional in 2002. Banos started a total of 239 in the Cuban National League. The righthander spent the 2018 season in the Italian Baseball League.
Left-hander Kim Kwanghyun will start for Korea against Canada. Born in 1988, Kim is one of the top pitchers in the Korean Baseball Organization. He won 17 games during the 2019 regular season for the SK Wyverns.
Canada will hand the ball to Rob Zastryzny, a 27-year old righthander who started 16 games at the AAA level for the Los Angeles Dodgers in 2019. Zastryzny appeared in 18 MLB games for the Chicago Cubs.
