Ramos Diaz confirmed as Peruvian Baseball president

Victor Ramos Diaz will lead the Peruvian Baseball Federation for the next four-year term.

The Peruvian Baseball Federation (Federación Deportiva Peruana de Béisbol - FDPB) has confirmed Victor Ramos Diaz as the organisation’s leader for the 2021-2024 term. The election was ratified by the Peruvian Sports Institute.

Paul Gonzalez Marttini will return as Vice President, while Pedro Pachas Caballero was confirmed as the FDPB’s Secretary. Hector Barrantes Valeriano (Treasurer) and David Saldaña Chang (Member at Large) will join the Executive Board of the organisation.

In 2019, the FDPB inaugurated a baseball stadium at Villa Maria del Triunfo in the Peruvian capital, venue of the Lima 2019 Pan American Games baseball competition. The ballpark can hold up to 1,800 people, and was the first venue of the Pan Am Games venue that officially opened.

Peru, ranked 41st in the WBSC Men’s Baseball World Rankings, finished in eighth place at Lima 2019.
