Shinhan Bank is named KBO’s title sponsor

Seoul-Shinhan Bank was named the title sponsor of the Korea Baseball Organization (KBO), the top professional sports league of South Korea and a member of WBSC. The 3 year deal is worth 22.6 million US dollar

Seoul-Shinhan Bank was named the title sponsor of the Korea Baseball Organization (KBO), the top professional sports league of South Korea and a member of WBSC. Korea is currently third in WBSC Baseball Rankings presented by ENEOS.

The deal was signed by KBO Commissioner Chung Un Chan and Shinhan Bank CEO Wi Sun Ho and is worth the equivalent of US dollar 22.6 million over a 3 year span.

After the signing both Chung Un Chan and Wi Sun Ho agreed on the fact that “the 2 groups can grow together”

Shinhan Bank was established as Korea’s first bank in 1897 and replaces as KBO title sponsor local tire retailer Tire Bank. Shinhan Bank is also the title sponsor of the Shinhan Donghae Open Golf Tournament.

The 2018 KBO, officially called Shinhan Bank My Car KBO, gets underway on Saturday, 24 March.

The Kia Tigers are the defending champions. They won a 2017 edition that drew over 8.4 million fans, a record attendance in the last 3 years.
