Softball Peru to hold Art & Softball exhibition to promote 2021 WBSC U-18 Women’s Softball World Cup in Lima

A total of 25 artists will showcase softball-themed pieces, like balls, bats and home plates, to be exhibited virtually through social media and then sold at auction.

The Peruvian Softball Federation (Federación Deportiva Peruana de Softbol) has launched the first edition of the I Expo Arte & Softbol “Carreras 2020” (I Art & Softball Exhibition “Runs 2020”), an artistic initiative to promote the WBSC U-18 Women’s Softball World Cup 2021, which is set to run from 27 March to 4 April 2021 in Lima, Peru. The second edition of this exhibition will be held during next year’s World Cup.

A total of 25 artists will create softball elements, like balls, bats and home plates, and the pieces will be exhibited virtually through social media, and then sold at auction. The exhibition will begin on 28 November at the Peruvian Olympic Committee museum, in an event that will be streamed on Facebook.

“The funds raised in both activities will serve to open decentralized softball schools throughout the country and thus spread the word about our sport,”said Vanessa Endo, President of the Peruvian Softball Federation.
