Statement from IBAF President Riccardo Fraccari

STATEMENT

LAUSANNE (Switzerland) — International Baseball Federation President/World Baseball Softball co-President Riccardo Fraccari issued the following statement regarding the decision by the 2014 Little League Congress to align its youth age-determination calendar according to that of the IBAF (the International Baseball Division of the World Baseball Softball Confederation):

“The WBSC is proud to serve as a guide for other organisations’ policy-making. As baseball and softball continue to spread globally, we foresee — and are fully prepared for — an increased reliance on the world governing body for uniformity among our sport’s stakeholders.”
