Super Round schedule announced for XVII Men’s Softball World Cup

The medal games are scheduled for Sunday, 4 December. The bronze medal game will start at 13:00, while the World Championship final will follow at 16:00.

The World Baseball Softball Confederation (WBSC) today announced the 18-game Super Round and the Placement Round schedule of the XVII Men’s Softball World Cup, which runs from 1-3 December in Auckland, New Zealand.

The Super Round games will take place on Field 1 at Rosedale Park at 13:30, 16:30 and 19:30 each day while the Placement Round Games will be held on Field 2 at 12:00, 15:00 and 18:00 each day.

The six participants in the Super Round will start with the following win-loss records (based on results over fellow Super Round teams during the Opening Round): Argentina (2-0), Canada (2-0); USA (1-1), Australia (1-1); Cuba (0-2), Venezuela (0-2)

The six participants in the Placement Round will start with the following win-loss records (based on results over fellow Placement Round teams during the Opening Round): New Zealand (2-0), Japan (2-0); Czech Republic (1-1), South Africa (1-1); Philippines (0-2), Denmark (0-2)

The Super Round will start on Thursday 1 December at 13:30 with USA-Canada. Cuba-Australia will follow at 16:30 and Venezuela-Argentina at 18:00.

The top two finishers of the Super Round will compete in the World Championship final, while the third and fourth-place teams will play for bronze.
