Taiwan Professional Women’s Softball League playoffs to open Saturday
The TPWSL postseason will open this Saturday, 17 October, with the best-of-five semifinal series.
The 2020 Taiwan Professional Women’s Softball League (TPWSL) postseason is set and will get underway this weekend with a semifinal series.
The Eagles will await the winner of the semifinal, as they clinched their spot in the championship series.
The Eagles and the New Century Wasps were actually tied at the end of the second half, but the birds-of-prey finished with a better overall record (24-8) to give them the edge, allowing them to fly past the semifinals and directly land in the championship series.
The Wasps and Lions will have to go through the semifinal series to set a date with the Eagles. The Lions won the first half of the season but then struggled in the second half, with a 7-9 record.
The semifinal best-of-five series will begin on Saturday 17 October, in Taipei, for the first two matches. The third clash will be played on Sunday. If necessary, the semifinals will move to Taichung for games four and five, which would be played on Saturday 24.
