WBSC Secretary General Beng Choo Low conducted a series of meeting in Thailand.

First Beng Choo Low met Charouck Arirachakaran, the Vice President and Secretary General of the National Olympic Committee to discuss the participation of Thailand’s National Teams to the men’s baseball and men’s and women’s softball tournaments of the South East Asian Games, to be held in late 2019 in the Philippines. The President of the Baseball Association Somsak Pronpudpong and the Association representative Parkpoom Pronpudpong also participated in the meeting.

Beng Choo Low discussed further with Somsak and Parkpoom the state of baseball development in Thailand. The discussion touched men’s baseball, women’s baseball and also Baseball5, that has been recently introduced into the Country. They also discussed the possibility of a South East Asia Baseball5 competition end of this year or early next year in Thailand.

The third and last meeting was about softball. Beng Choo Low met the Softball Association President Kosol Yimpaiboon and Secretary General Phakpoom Sakulwong to discuss the development of men’s and women’s softball in the Country.
During 2019 Thailand will host Softball Asia-level Seminars for Technical Commissioners, Scorers and Umpires in Bangkok to strengthen the knowledge and skills of the technical officials in the Country.
