Three remain undefeated at Women’s Softball Asian Championship

TAICHUNG, Taiwan – After two complete days of competition, World’s No. 1 Japan, No. 6 China, and No. 9 Chinese Taipei remain undefeated.

TAICHUNG, Taiwan – After two complete days of competition, World’s No. 1 Japan, No. 6 China, and No. 9 Chinese Taipei remain undefeated.

Japan and China have both earned two wins each, while not allowing a single run to score. Chinese Taipei have produced a whopping 42 runs, while only allowing one run in their combined three wins.

The Championship will continue with the preliminary round robin phase tomorrow. The top two teams from each pool will advance to the playoffs.

The 12-nation regional championship will qualify the top 3 teams for the 2018 WBSC Women’s Softball World Championship in Chiba, Japan and the top 5 teams for the 2018 Asian Games in Jakarta, Indonesia.
