Tunisia: Baseball5 to be promoted in schools, backed by Higher Institute of Sport and Physical Education

Starting the Academic Year 2021-22, the urban five-on-five version of baseball/softball will be a part of the African nation's physical education's teachers official programme.

The Tunisian Baseball and Softball Federation (FTBS, Fédération Tunisienne de Baseball et Softball) signed a partnership and cooperation agreement with the nation's Higher Institute of Sport and Physical Education of Ksar-Said.

The agreement was signed by FTBS President Saber Jlajla and the director of the institute, Riadh Ben Yassine Khalifa. It aims to introduce Baseball5 on the official physical education programme of the 2021-2022 Academic Year.

The baseball5 school programme is set to boost exposure to the world and practice of baseball/softball, while providing the youth of Tunisia a new game to play and more access to sport.
