A total of 12 journalists participated in a course held by WBSC Continental Instructor Chedli Mokrani. Saber Jlajla, the President of the Tunisia Baseball and Softball Federation commented: "They can be of great support to our strategy and maximize the visibility of the new sport"

Situated in Northern Africa, the Tunisia Baseball and Softball Federation (FTBS) strongly believes in the potential of Baseball5 and wants to see the new, five-on-five urban version of baseball/softball spread throughout the country, particularly as Baseball5 will debut at the Youth Olympic Games in 2022 in Dakar, Senegal, Africa.

With Baseball5's quick rise in popularity and potential for future headlines, the FTBS organised a day to educate the members of the press to the rules of the new sport. The course was held by Chedli Mokrani, a WBSC Continental Instructor.

A total of 12 journalists participated to the workshop. They represented TV Al Wataniya, Radio Al Wataniya, Radio Jeunes Tunisie, Radio Sabra (in the Midwest of the country), the daily newspaper Al Chourouk and its digital version, the online daily Horizon Sport, Radio Shems FM, Radio El Kef (in the northeast of Tunisia), Radio Tataouine (in the south of the country) and Noon Sport. The Tunisian Sports Journalists Association and the International Sports Press Association also attended.

New Baseball5 Media Commission

The participating journalists are now said to be creating a commission with the aim of covering all news and breaking developments relating to Baseball5 in Tunisia and the country's players.

"These journalists will play the role of Baseball5 Media Ambassadors," commented FTBS President Saber Jlajla. "I believe they can be a very important support to our strategy about the development of Baseball5. They can help us maximize visibility."
