Update on IBAF Umpire Camp in Tirrenia

We are glad to inform you that the IBAF will hold an Umpire Camp in Tirrenia, Italy on June 20 – 24, 2012. This camp is organized with the aim of providing all European umpires with the opportunity to learn and further develop proper mechanics and what is needed to umpire the game at the top international level.

We are glad to inform you that the IBAF will hold an Umpire Camp in Tirrenia, Italy on June 20 – 24, 2012. This camp is organized with the aim of providing all European umpires with the opportunity to learn and further develop proper mechanics and what is needed to umpire the game at the top international level.

Details of the camp are as follows and the schedule is attached.

Location: CONI Olympic Training Center, C.P.O. Tirrenia, Vione dei Vannini s.n.c. -­‐ 56018 Tirrenia

Date: June 20 (Arrival) -­‐ 24 (Departure)

Registration fees: 300 Euros

Method of the payment: Cash at onsite registration desk or bank transfer.

Accommodation: double room (included in the registration fee)

Airport: For air travel, use of Pisa airport is recommended.

Transport: A pick up service will be arranged upon request from Pisa airport or Livorno train station.

Umpire gear: Bring your own umpire gear.

Instructors: Gus Rodriguez (IBAF Umpire Director), Marco Screti (IBAF Umpire Commission Member in Europe)

Interested umpires are requested to complete the nomination/registration form (attached) and submit it at anna.diluca@ibaf.org by April 20th, 2012. Umpires that successfully complete the training program will be certified as “IBAF Umpires”. That will be given an opportunity to work future IBAF events.
