USA, Venezuela, Canada, Mexico qualify for Women’s Baseball World Cup

Europe and the Americas held for the first time qualifying events for the WBSC Women’s World Cup. France won the European Championship earlier this Summer. The first-ever Pan Am Championship promoted four more National Teams

USA, Venezuela, Canada and Mexico qualified for the WBSC Women’s Baseball World Cup 2020.

World number 4 USA won the tournament undefeated thanks to their dominating offence. They had the best line up, the best individual hitter (best average, 4 homes runs) Alex Rizzo and the best run producer Kylee Lahners.

World number 5 Venezuela and number 2 Canada both finished with two losses.

Mexico, previously unranked, lost three games but had the two best pitchers Rosa Maria del Castillo (two wins, no earned run allowed) and Flor Elena Valerio (2.25 ERA)

Earlier this month France, previously unranked, won the first-ever Women’s Baseball European Championship and become the first National Team to qualify.
