WBSC to Live-Stream European Pro Softball Series

The USSSA European Pro Softball Series presented by WBSC will take off on Tuesday, 24 April, in Caronno Pertusella (Italy). USSSA Pride will face at the Francesco Nespoli stadium the Italian National Team at 7 pm local time (1 pm US Eastern). Game 2 is scheduled for Wednesday, 25 April, at 3 pm local time.

The USSSA European Pro Softball Series, presented by WBSC, will take off on Tuesday, 24 April, in Caronno Pertusella (Italy). USSSA Pride will face at the Francesco Nespoli stadium the Italian National Team at 7 pm local time (1 pm US Eastern). Game 2 is scheduled for Wednesday, 25 April, at 4 pm local time.

The USSSA Pride have won the regular season of the National Pro Fastpitch (NPF) 4 times (2014 through 2017) in a raw. Their last league title (Cowles Cup) was in 2014.
Left handed slugger Kelly Kretschman, who plays rightfield and throws righthanded, looks like the player to watch. She earned the NPF Triple Crown in 2016 (.443 batting average-13 home runs-45 runs batted in) and was honored as the best NPF offensive player in 2017 (.500 batting average; 58 hits on 116 at bats). A 39 year old veteran, Kretschman has played in the NPF since 2005.
Left handed pitcher Keilani Ricketts posted a 10-3 record last season, striking out 72 over 71 innings pitched. She was named to the All NPF team for the first time in her career.

USSSA Pride ROSTER

The USSSA Pride will begin their 2018 season in the National Pro Fastpitch on Wednesday, 30 May, against the Aussie Spirit

Italy has added to the roster announced previously utility infielder Amanda Fama. Born in 1989 in the USA, she graduated at the Concordia University Irvine. She has played in Italy 2013 through 2015 and has competed in the NPF (2016, 2017) for the Scrap Yard Dawgs.

The official ball of the European Pro Series will be the Teammate TM4712. This will also be the official ball of alla competitions sanctioned by the European Softball Federation ESF.

Between game 1 and 2, Caronno will host a clinic, run by players and coaches of the USSSA Pride, for the players of the U-15 All Star of the Lombardia Region. The clinic is open to all the softball coaches of the Region.

Caronno Pertusella is a town (almost 18,000 inhabitants) in the Province of Varese but actually part of Milan’s metropolitan area. Caronno lies 24 chilometers north west of Milan and 48 chilometers south east of Varese. The border with Switzerland is 33 chilometers far.
The games between the USSSA Pride and Italy are part of the celebrations for the 50 years of AB Caronno, the club currently competing in the top italian women’s fastpitch softball league.

Other PROMOTIONAL EVENTS during the European Pro Series

After the 2 games against Italy in Caronno, the European Pro Series will take USSSA Pride to the Czech Republic. The games against the Czech National Teams are scheduled in Prague on:
-> Friday, 27 April, at 7 pm in Svoboda Park
-> Saturday, 28 april, at 3 pm in Eagles Park

The Pride will also play 3 games in The Netherlands against the defending European Champions:
-> Monday, 30 April, at 5 pm in Moergestel
-> Tuesday, 1 May, at 6 pl in Hoofddorp
-> Wednesday, 2 May, at 7 pm in Haarlem
