Caracas, VENEZUELA — The Venezuelan Baseball Federation (FEVEBEISBOL) held a Baseball5 seminar in Caracas, from 10-12 October, with a 52 people attendance.
The activity, is part the WBSC Baseball5 Global Coaching Programme, which is designed by the WBSC in collaboration with the Cuban Baseball Federation to rapidly provide basic knowledge of the new urban street discipline.
The WBSC Baseball5 Global Coaching Programme has brought the fundamentals of the new game to already to members in 4 continents since its launch in August 2018.
WBSC is currently introducing Baseball5 to the Youth Olympic Games Buenos Aires 2018 as part of the sports initiation activity of the Games, and has touched more that 3000 kids.
The seminar was attended by Venezuelan coaches, executives, university students, umpires and scorers, who were introduced to the rules and techniques of the new WBSC urban discipline.
After this introductory course, the goal of the Venezuelan Baseball Federation is to organise local and national Baseball5 tournaments, and spread the new WBSC discipline around the country.
