WBSC Coed Slow Pitch World Cup Asia qualifier set to open in Thailand; watch it for free on GameTime

GameTime subscribers will be able to watch for free the 12 games of the tournament.

China, Philippines, Singapore, Thailand and Chinese Taipei will make history on Wednesday taking the field on Day 1 of the first-ever Coed Slow Pitch Softball Asia Cup, a qualifier for the WBSC Slow Pitch World Cup. GameTime subscribers will be able to watch for free the 12 games of the tournament. 

The five teams will face each other in a single round robin from 24-26 May, with the final and bronze medal game taking place on Saturday 27 May. The top two teams after the opening round wil advance automatically for the World Cup, while the bronze medal game will decide Asia’s final guest to the global tournament.

24 May

  • 9:00 CHN v PHI
  • 11:00 SGP v TPE
  • 13:30 THA v CHN
  • 15:30 PHI v SGP

25 May

  • 9:00 TPE v THA
  • 11:00 CHN v SGP
  • 13:30 PHI v TPE

26 May

  • 9:00 THA v SGP
  • 11:00 CHN TPE
  • 13:30 PHI v THA

27 May

  • 9:00 Third place v Fourth place
  • 11:00 First Place v Second place

The top three teams in the final standings will earn a ticket for the WBSC Coed Slow Pitch World Cup, the WBSC’s newest global event for mixed teams, which will take place later this year. Exact dates and host will be announced at a later stage.

The qualified teams from Asia will join Great Britain, Germany and the Netherlands, which earned their tickets as the top-three teams from the European Championship 2022.
