WBSC holds development talks with Congolese National Federation in Lausanne

WBSC Softball Division Chairman Tommy Velasquez today welcomed to the WBSC Headquarters in Lausanne Mr Isaac Saac Sharadi Kanga, President of the Congolese Federation of Baseball and Softball.

LAUSANNE, Switzerland — WBSC Softball Division Chairman Tommy Velasquez today welcomed to the WBSC Headquarters in Lausanne Mr Isaac Saac Sharadi Kanga, President of the Congolese Federation of Baseball and Softball.

The two leaders discussed the best strategy to boost Baseball and Softball development for Congo, in light of the recently launched WBSC African Development Project.

Additionally, Mr Sharadi Kanga was introduced to the opportunities of the new 5-5 youth focused discipline Baseball5 and the intention of the WBSC to have it included on the programme of the Youth Olympic Games Dakar 2022.

“I would like to thank the WBSC for the continuous support and efforts that is giving to the development of our sport in the African continents, I look forward to a close collaboration with the international federation to boost mass participation in baseball and softball” Mr Sharadi Kanga commented.
