The two five-inning double-headers between the Adelaide Giants and the Brisbane Bandits are scheduled on 1 and 2 May.

Baseball Australia will showcase women's baseball on 1 and 2 May in Adelaide as the federation plans to roll out a new professional league in the discipline. The event was originally scheduled for January, but had to be postponed because of COVID-19 restrictions.

The Adelaide Giants and the Brisbane Bandits of the Australian Baseball League (ABL) have formed two women's teams that will compete in two five-inning double-headers.

The Giants will have 17 players available and the Bandits 16. Twelve players were on the Australian National Team at the WBSC Women’s World Cup 2018, including eight-time representative Shae Lillywhite, who will feature for the Giants. Ten teenagers have been named across the two teams.

First pitch is at 4 pm local time (GMT +10) on Saturday, 1 May, and at 10.30 am local time on Sunday, 2 May. The games will be streamed on WBSC's GameTime Sport YouTube channel.

Each team will be able to take one powerplay per game, allowing them to choose to start an inning with a runner on first and second.

Australia is No.6 in WBSC Women's Baseball World Rankings.The best result on the world stage was a silver medal in the 2010 edition in Maracay, Venezuela.
