WBSC's GameTime channel live-streaming new Venezuelan Major Professional Baseball League
The six-team league, sanctioned by Fevebeisbol, opened on 6 August. The final series is scheduled from 21 to 28 September.
GameTime Sport, the OTT platform operated by BASE, a WBSC in-house media company, has been awarded international streaming rights of the Venezuelan Major Professional Baseball League (LMBP), the newborn Venezuelan 'summer' league.
The Venezuelan Baseball Federation (FEVEBEISBOL) sanctions the six-team LMBP. The league serves as a new chance for professional players who are not active during the summer, while giving fans more baseball action to follow.
The LMBP opened on 6 August. The participating teams are Samanes de Aragua, Guerreros de Caracas, Lanceros de La Guaira, Líderes de Miranda, Marineros de Carabobo and Senadores de Caracas.
Each team will play a 30-game regular season, and the top four will advance to the best-of-five semifinals, scheduled for 14 to 19 September.
The best-of-seven final series is scheduled from 21 to 28 September.
Currently, the Sendores lead with 6 wins and 3 losses, followed by the Guerreros (6-4), Samanes, Lideres (5-5), Marineros (4-6) and Lanceros (3-6).
