Japan leads undefeated the first Women’s Baseball Asian Cup. Samurai won (6-1) a key match Sunday against Chinese Taipei and outscored (17-0) Pakistan. Japan play Hong Kong on Tuesday September 5 and India on Wednesday 6 September and looks very much like the lone candidate for the gold medal.
Korea and Chinese Taipei meet on Tuesday for a match that will very likely decide second and third place.
The hosts Hong Kong are going to be the fourth team qualified but they still have a chance to improve, since they face Korea on Wednesday.
