Zambia's Lusaka League takes Baseball5 to new communities

A game played at the Kuanda Square Community Ground gave a chance to try the five-on-five discipline to the local youth.

The Lusaka League gave the Zambia Softball Baseball Association a chance to boost the awareness of Baseball5 in the African country.

Chirundu and Kuanda played their scheduled game at the Kuanda Square Community Ground, which regularly hosts various youth events.

After the game that Chirundu won, 14-5, boys and girls from the community had a chance to try Baseball5.

"We chose a central location in Lusaka to boost the awareness of Baseball5 in the community," commented Kenny Matishi, the secretary-general of the Zambia Softball Baseball Association.

The Baseball5 league in Zambia is being played on different surfaces, including concrete, helping to expand baseball and softball's developmental toolbox and global footprint.
