Stonard Mapfumo led the election for the Board, which saw seven members elected along with the athlete representatives.

Stonard Mapfumo, president of the Zimbabwe Softball Association, was elected on Sunday onto the board of the Zimbabwe Olympic Committee (ZOC). Mr Thabani Gonye, former ZOC Vice President, run unopposed and was elected as the new President of the ZOC.

The election was held at the Rainbow Hotel in Harare, during the ZOC Quadrennial General Meeting. Mapfumo led the election for the board, which saw seven members elected along with the athlete representatives.

Twenty-six national federations and two ZOC Athletes Commission representatives took part in the elections.
