GameTime Classics | 第五十四集：墨西哥、波多黎各爭奪奧運席次

墨西哥與波多黎各去年八月開啟世界棒壘球總會壘球美洲資格賽超級循環賽的序幕，這次錦標賽產生了兩張奧運門票。這場在英屬哥倫比亞素雷進行的比賽對兩隊都是關鍵，波多黎各以A組1-1戰績晉級，墨西哥則是2-0全勝拿下B組第一。

墨西哥拿下勝利他們則又離首次取得奧運壘球賽事資格更近一步，對波多黎各來說，若要仍有機會進入奧運，這場比賽非贏不可。

在先前的賽事，波多黎各兩度在關鍵戰役擊敗墨西哥。第一次是2018巴蘭幾亞的中美洲與加勒比海運動會以4-2贏得金牌戰，雖後，就在奧運資格賽三周前，2019利馬泛美運動會的第一場季後賽，八局下半Karla Claudio打出兩分打點再見全壘打，以3-2拿下勝利，這場比賽確保波多黎各會取得獎牌，墨西哥則空手而歸。

墨西哥總教練Carlos Bernaldez 將先發重任交給了 Danielle O’Toole，面對代表波多黎各在這場關鍵一戰先發的Taran Alvelo。
