Ezequiel Rivera hit a pair of RBI doubles, Ivan Suarez earned the win and got himself insurance runs with a three-run homer.
Mexico outscored Venezuela, 7-1, and will head to the VI WBSC U-12 Baseball World Cup super round as the number one seed out of group A.
Ezequiel Rivera made an impact again. He got to starter Jose Ramos with a two-out RBI double in the top of the first and did it again in the top of the third to make it 2-0.
With Mexico leading 4-0, Venezuela got on the scoreboard in the bottom of the fourth on a solo home run by first baseman Samuel Torres.
It was the second hit allowed by Suarez, and it would be the last. The right-hander helped himself, hitting a three-run home run in the top of the sixth against Jesus Chirinos.
Rivera took the mound to get the last three outs of the game.
Mexico will advance to the super round as group A's number one seed. Chinese Taipei will be number two and Venezuela number three. The seeding will determine the schedule. The three teams will all go into the Super Round with 1-1 records based on the head to heads between them.
