Aruba Bank Lady Tigers wins 2015 Aruba Softball National Championship

The Aruba Bank Lady Tigers defeated the Eagles 8:5 to stand atop the national championship podium in Aruba for 2015. The Tigers won all three games in the best-out-of-five series.

The Aruba Bank Lady Tigers defeated the Eagles 8:5 to stand atop the national championship podium in Aruba for 2015. The Tigers won all three games in the best-out-of-five series.

The final game of the series was close between the two teams with the score tied at three. In the top of the 7th inning, Aruba Bank pitcher Rudlyn Ras hit a bases loaded single to right field. Carienne Brete followed with a double to clear the bases and take the lead 8-3.

The Eagles refused to give up though. In the bottom of 7th, Shardea Croes hit her second home run of the game to bring the score to 8-5.  But that was all the Eagles could put together and Aruba Bank could celebrate their championship with an 8-5 victory.

Winner pitcher Rudlyn Ras also claimed the MVP title by winning all 3 games in the best out of (5) series. Millizienne Richardson was the losing pitcher.

Officials from the Aruba Softball Federation presented the medals immediately following the game.
