Postponement of Day 1 at XXV IBAF 18U Baseball World Championship

Seoul (Korea). The start for the XXV IBAF 18U Baseball World Championship in Seoul, Korea has been delayed for at least one day. All six games scheduled for Thursday, August 30 have been postponed to Tuesday, September 4 due to rain and the unplayable field conditions.

Seoul (Korea). The start for the XXV IBAF 18U Baseball World Championship in Seoul, Korea has been delayed for at least one day. All six games scheduled for Thursday, August 30 have been postponed to Tuesday, September 4 due to rain and the unplayable field conditions.

The Technical Commission of the International Baseball Federation (IBAF) decided early to cancel all games on day one since the weather forecast for the afternoon was even worse. Additionally the opening ceremony has been cancelled as well.

Games at the XXV IBAF 18U Baseball World Championship in Seoul, Korea now will commence on Friday, August 31 at Jamsil and Mokdong Stadiums. In the morning at 10am Australia will face Colombia and Panama squares off with Italy. In the afternoon Canada meets with Japan and Korea plays against Venezuela. In the evening Czech Republic takes on Chinese Taipei and the Netherlands have their encounter with Team USA.
