Chinese Taipei outscores Brazil after the opening ceremony of the U-12 Baseball World Cup

TAINAN, Chinese Taipei-After the opening ceremony, Chinese Taipei played their debut game ion front of an enthusiastic crowd. The hosts beat Brazil 10-0 in 5 innings

Chinese Taipei made a strong debut in front of an enthusiastic crowd in the U-12 Baseball World Cup. They defeated Brasil 10-0 in 5 innings. The game was preceded by the opening ceremony of the tournament



Chinese Taipei was off a good start against starter Correa. Shortstop Yang Yi Cheng led off with a vase hit and then stole second. He was the first out when he was picked off too far from the bag by catcher Vidal. Center fielder Chien Yu En homered to right to make it 1-0.

In the bottom of the third the hosts broke the score open. Ota Suzuki, the second pitcher od the night for Brazil, opened the at bat walking second baseman Lui Wei I. Brazil relieved him with Pinto, that was welcomed by shortstop Yang Yi Cheng with a homer to right center. Taiwan added 2 more and forced Brazil to make another call to the bull pen. Dos Passos got the final out of the inning. Chinese Taipei added 5 more runs and made it a 10-0 5 inning win.

Han Shuo Heng, Chen Ruei Fond, Tseng Yi Wei and Syn Yi Lei combined a no hitter for Chinese Taipei
