Australia wins Oceania Championship, qualifies to U-18 Baseball World Cup

The Championship Game against American Samoa won’t go on record: it was rained out with Australia leading 5-0. The title went to the Aussie thanks to a 16-0 win in the semi final. The hosts Guam finished third

Australia confirmed as U-18 Oceania Baseball Champion and qualified for the WBSC U-18 Baseball World Cup, to be staged in Gijiang, Korea, from 30 August to 8 September 2019.

The Championship Game against American Samoa didn’t go beyond the fourth inning. With the Aussie leading 5-0, after a couple of delayes, the game was rained out.
Australia was named the Oceania U-18 Champion because they outscored, 16-0 (Blake Townsend was the winning pitcher), American Samoa in the first game of the page-system play offs.

American Samoa, that had defeated Australia during the round robin, earned the right to play the final when they defeated the hosts Guam, 15-6, in a bronze medal game highlighted by a three-run home run by Safea Villaruz Mauai. Kurtis Colburn earned the win.
