The World Baseball Softball Confederation (WBSC) today announced the WBSC U-18 Men’s Softball World Cup Super Round schedule following the conclusion of the 30-game Opening Round. The Super Round will be played over 9 games from 27-29 February at Colquhoun Park in Palmerston North, New Zealand.
The U-18 Men’s Softball World Cup 2020 is now down to six teams representing No. 2 Argentina, No. 5 Australia, No. 7 Czech Republic, No. 21 Guatemala, No. 1 Japan and No. 3 New Zealand.
Group A winner Australia, along with second place Argentina and third place Czech Republic advanced to the Super Round.
Group B winner Japan, second place New Zealand and third place Guatemala advanced to the Super Round to battle the Group A winners head-to-head over the next three days.
Only results between the Super Round teams (including matches in the Opening Round) count toward the Super Round standings. As a result, Australia and Japan (2-0) will enter the Super Round atop the standings. New Zealand and Argentina will enter the Super Round with 1-1 records, while Czech Republic and Guatemala enter with an 0-2 record.
The top two teams at the conclusion of the Super Round will compete For the Title of World Champion at Colquhoun Park on Sunday, 4:00 p.m. NZDT.
The two top-ranked nations in the world, Argentina and Japan, will officially kick off the Super Round on Thursday, 27 February, at 14:30 NZDT at Colquhoun Park, Guatemala and Australia following at 17:00. The final game of the day will be Czech Republic against New Zealand.

World No. 4 Canada, No. 6 USA, No. 8 Mexico, No. 10 South Africa, No. 11 Denmark, No. 17 Singapore will play the Placement Round.
