The Baseball Association of Thailand hosted a Baseball5 tournament in Lopburi
The Lopburi Province has seen a lot of Baseball5 action. The tournament was open to boys’ girls’ and co-ed teams. A total of 50 games were played by the 21 participating teams. The tournament was used to select participants to the World Children Baseball Fair
Baseball Federation of Japan holds Baseball5 Seminar to promote new urban discipline
The Baseball Federation of Japan (BFJ) organized a two-day Baseball5 Seminar in Tokyo, Japan, from 26-27 January, with the support of the WBSC. A total of 66 coaches and players learned the basics of the new WBSC urban discipline to create a domino effect all over the country in the next months.

WBSC Development Commission supported 43 requests during 2018 and nine more projects are in progress. Only five of the requests were rejected and in two cases the support was withdrawn. The World Baseball Softball Confederation (WBSC) today completed a two-day coaching workshop in Jordan aimed at introducing Baseball5 to Zaatari, the UNHCR run world’s largest camp for Syrian refugees, as part of the partnership developed with the organisation Peace and Sport.
