The European team unveiled a 14-player list for the first WBSC softball tournament of the year.

The 30-game Opening Round will finish on 19 April with the top three finishers from each group advancing to the Super Round, while the other six teams will participate in the Placement Round.

The deadline to register is April 13.

Fans around the world can now reserve and buy their tournament passes for the inaugural edition of the tournament to be played in Parana, Argentina, from 15-23 April.

Both players were part of the Argentinian team that shocked the world in 2019 by winning the WBSC Men’s Softball World Cup in Prague, Czechia.

Japan’s roster includes seven members of the 2018 silver-medal U-19 National Team, and two players that claimed the 2020 U-18 world title.

The golden base of the trophy has the name of the event engraved in black and light blue, along with the flag of the host country, the name of the city, and the inscription “World Champions” both in English and Spanish, the official languages of the WBSC.

Besgrove threw the entire seven innings for 10 strikeouts and only four hits in last year's WBSC Men's Softball World Cup final to help Australia power to a 5-2 win over Canada.

12 national teams will compete at the inaugural WBSC U-23 Men’s Softball World Cup, to be played in Parana, Argentina, from 15-23 April.

A total of 10 players participated in the WBSC Men’s Softball World Cup 2022, where Czechia finished in ninth place.
