Pakistan WAPDA win 18th National Women's Baseball Championship 2024

Five teams from four provinces - Islamabad, Pakistan Army, Pakistan WAPDA, Pakistan Police and HEC - participated in the championship.

Pakistan WAPDA won the gold medal at the 18th National Women's Baseball Championship 2024 by defeating defending champions Pakistan Army in the final in a thrilling 13-10 contest. The tournament was played at FC College in Lahore. The HEC team won the Bronze medal.

For Pakistan WAPDA, Gul Feroza scored three runs, Anila Rasheed, Madeeha Rasheed and Umm-e-Hani scored two while Ayesha Ejaz, Saiqa Riaz, Noreena Khalid and Iram Shahzadi scored one run each to contribute to the victory.

On the other hand, for Pakistan Army, Maida Batool scored three runs, Atiya Saif scored two while Zahida Ghani, Asia Siddiqa, Momina and Samia Khalid scored one run each.

Five teams from four provinces, Islamabad, Pakistan Army, Pakistan WAPDA, Pakistan Police and HEC participated in the championship.

At the end of the match, Shaukat Javed, President of Pakistan Federation Baseball, distributed the prizes among the players.

Currently, Pakistan is ranked No. 17 in the WBSC/KONAMI Women's Baseball World Ranking with 94 points. They finished ninth in the III Women's Baseball Asia Cup 2023.
