The Chinese Baseball Association (CBA) hosted a five-day WBSC and Baseball Federation of Asia (BFA) technical clinic from 3 to 7 April at the China Sports Yizheng Stadium.
Technical commissioners, umpires and scorers worked three days in class and two days on the field during the 2024 Chinese National Baseball Championship.
WBSC Baseball Umpiring Commission chair Gustavo Rodriguez ran the clinic for umpires. WBSC Tournament Commission member and Technical Commission chair Jim Baba was responsible for technical commissioners, and Yuwei Horng was the scoring instructor.
The clinic had 98 participants, 76 from the CBA and 22 from the BFA. Each participant received a completion certificate. They will all need to pass a final test to become certified international officials.
CBA deputy secretary-general Ding Feng presided the closing ceremony.
