15U BWC: Aruba wins a crazy game against Ukraine

Despite a 5 run first at bat, Ukraine lost (12-10) against Aruba in the last game of group ‘C’ and finished in last place; they will compete in Cuauhtemoc for 13th place in the final standings, while Arubahas access to the group that will seed teams from 7th to 12th place in Parral.

Despite a 5 run first at bat, Ukraine lost (12-10) against Aruba in the last game of group ‘C’ and finished in last place; they will compete in Cuauhtemoc for 13th place in the final standings, while Arubahas access to the group that will seed teams from 7th to 12th place in Parral.

The game was plagued by defensive errors (6 for Ukraine and 5 for Aruba) and Ukraine pitchers walked as many as 11 Aruba batters.
Ukraine hit safely 16 times and struck out 17 (9 left on base, including in the 9th inning).
Ismail Ross picked up the win for Aruba pitching innings and striking out 8, but also allowing 6 hits.

After trailing for most of the game against relief pitcher SadovskyiAruba went ahead scoring 4 runs against Chukmrii and Tereshenkoin the 6th. Ukraine pitcher allowed a couple of walks and a wild pitch, the rest came with aggressive running by Aruba4 defensive errors and a triple by first baseman Croes (2 for and 3 RBIs).

In the 9th Ukraine scored one run and loaded the bases with no one out. With the winning run at first, Romack and Larichev struck out and Chervuk flied out.
